Queen Disguise

flashing skulls
on your forehead
turning with your face
with your eyes, erratic
ecstatic
then empathic
to the static, neurotic
you see,
these bones aren't your
bones
aren't your own
aren't your home
i've yet to count them
one
by
one
and imagine their faces
come
as one
to their deaths
Tell me,
which ones died
with your enzymes
the sparkling
poison of your mime
your secret smile
when you've
once again
leaked
into
a spine
Well,
you've leaked
into mine,
a mine
of quarks
and sparks
Now,
pull up
your blinds,
breathe mask-
less
and listen,
a song
trickling
down
your spine
one
vertebrae
at
a
time.
